Great property in the heart of London!
I recently stayed at this property for a getaway with my sister in law. We booked the property based on location and were not disappointed! The building is complete with a charming lift that adds traditional touch to the experience. Though others have mentioned the construction in the area (and next door) and the loud nightlife, we were not bothered by this as keeping the bathroom door helped to minimize the party noise - and the construction was over by bedtime. The close proximity to the underground station and walking distance to all key attractions, dining and entertainment options was ideal. The property manager was responsive to all inquiries, flexible when our itinerary changed and seemed keen to meet our needs. The flat was what we expected for the cost, and despite a few dated amenities, I would recommend this flat to others wanting a getaway to lovely London.

Great location but building work is being done in building which means lots of noise and dust. Construction workers in and out of the building all day. Very poor plumbing toilet hardly flushed and huge problems with shower. Towels were like sandpaper the whole apartment is very tired and bad damp smell in bathroom kitchen utensils and bed linen needs replacing
Thank you for your comments. I'm sorry to hear that you didn't like the flat too much. It's a building from the 1890's with Victorian pipes to match, hence why the flush isn't as strong as new builds .You have to allow a few minutes before trying to flush it again.I wish you had contacted me during your actual stay and I would have explained this to you. I'm now in the habit of telling guests this! They are doing some much needed work to the communal parts and I wasn't aware of when they were started this otherwise I would have told you about it . I've reminded the cleaner to ensure the towels are put in the dryer and not air dryed ,as that would explain why they would be rougher than they should be. I do hope you'll give the flat another chance on your next visit.I'm pleased you at least enjoyed the great location and I hope you took some wonderful memories back with you.
Location, location, location. Walking distance to the center of London. The flat has a lot of construction in and around and the accommodations are basic but who spends much time in the flat when you have all of London to explore!

Right in the thick of cool stuff
Comparing properties is always tough, it all depends on expectations. This property was awesome for our stay in London. I have come to expect smaller showers, smaller beds, and such in Europe, compared to the US. Nothing wrong with that, just differences. This flat was very close to an Underground station, so getting around London was easy. It was close to the theaters, so seeing a show was on the menu. Close to restaurants and pubs, we walked everywhere. Had the typical small shower and a US sized double bed, not the Italian “double”. Thankfully, my wife and I like to sleep close. Elevator was small, but worked great. It was the old fashioned type, where you open and close the gates. Noise from the street would not have been excessive, except London was having a heat wave, and being close to the bars and theaters, means late night patrons, and we had the windows wide open. We used ear plugs just fine. Being 5 floors up, you probably would not get the noise with the windows shut.
Everything in this flat was clean, we really enjoyed our 4 night stay. The check in n was easy, the host gave us a great restaurant recommendation, plenty of towels, a washing machine, fridge, stove. We had a lot of fun in the local area. Hope to come back!

Vores rummelige, lyse, sydvendte studio ligger i gåafstand til de mange turistattraktioner i Leicester Square, Piccadilly Circus, teatre, Covent Garden, National Portrait Gallery, Chinatown, shopping på Oxford Street, Regent Street og Bond Street.
Lejligheden ligger modsat Foyles Books, som er et must besøg. Du finder stadig mange boghandlere på Charing Cross Road. 84 CHX eksisterer stadig / ikke længere en boghandel
Et stort udvalg af restauranter er i dette område, og Charing Cross Road har mange kaffebarer ... British Museum ligger 5 minutters gang, og yderligere 10 minutter får dig til hjertet af Bloomsbury eller Fitzrovia.
For musikelskere er Londons 'Tin Pan Alley' på den næste gade. Danmark St er en skattekiste til dem, der ønsker at købe noget fra et guitarvalg til en violin
Dette er en af de bedste steder at bo i det centrale London.

Picnic i en London Park .... Vores lejlighed er inden for gåafstand fra nogle dejlige offentlige parker og haver. Den bedste er St James, som er omkring 10 minutters gang væk fra lejligheden. Der er dog mange Garden Squares i Bloomsbury, der er dejlige at slappe af i på en sommer eller forår. Der er en fantastisk skjult haven oase lige bag Shaldon Mansions. St Giles offentlige have er smuk hele året rundt og meget stille. Dette er et dejligt sted at slappe af i.
Den nærliggende shopping på Oxford St og Charing Cross Road vil være en god behandler for folk, der elsker at shoppe, indtil de taber. Fra high end butikker til de to meget store budget Primarks, vil man finde noget at tage hjem med dem. Efter en morgen spadseretur i West End en speciel godbid med en engelsk engelsk afternnste te vil helt sikkert blive en særlig hukommelse om din tid i London. Ja, det kan være lidt dyrt, men det burde være noget, der skal prøves, hvis du har tid og budget. The Ritz er langt det bedste i London. Savoyen, The Dorchester, Browns og Clariddge er alle dyre, men det er værd. National Portrait Gallery, The Wallace Collection og Langham er mere overkommelige og lige så gode. Fortnum og Mason på nærliggende Picacadilly er også det værd. Deres mad hall er fantastisk / og selvom du ikke har tid til fuld eftermiddagste du kunne købe nogle te til at tage tilbage med dig. Blæserne er simpelthen forbløffende i design. En fantastisk gave til dem derhjemme. Du vil opdage, at et par af hotellerne i nærheden af British Museum også tilbyder eftermiddagste / men dem der er anført ovenfor er langt bedre. En undtagelse er Bea's of Bloomsbury, som er et besøg værd.
