We received a warm welcome from Paola at the property. She was kind enough to help us with the little Italian language we spoke. Niccolo arrived and showed us around the property and answered all our questions. The place is as charming as the pictures that are posted. The next day Niccolo took us on a most beautiful tour of the Tuscany countryside, stopping for us to take pictures and explaining the history of the area and of course the grape fields used for wine making. We saw windmills and castles and then he took us to a winery, Chianti Rufina for a wonderful private tour and winetasting. We made side journeys on days to close by villages, like Sienna. He also told us about where to shop for food and restaurants to try. On the last evening there his wife Barbara, led a cooking class for us. We had so much fun doing homemade pasta and Tiramisu, and then we got to enjoy it all for dinner. It was a dream come true, Barbara and Niccolo are the perfect hosts and we will not hesitate to return there one day!!
