Excellent stay! It was great to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city!
Loved the quiet space. Decorated so cute and made us feel right at home.
We had a wonderful stay at the Owls Nest. The property is clean, comfortable and secluded. The scenery is beautiful. Highly recommend.
Comfortable great place to stay
I stayed here for 4 days and it was very comfortable and clean and my children loved the area. Would definitely recommend.
Perfect little country house
Our family thoroughly enjoyed our weekend stay at the Owl's Nest! We were attending a wedding near Asheboro on Saturday & didn't want an ordinary hotel stay. Arriving Friday evening to the house after a day of driving & visiting the NC Zoo, we found a clean, cozy little country house & the owners even left the light on for us. The dog & horses greeted us warmly & we settled in to make dinner in the well supplied kitchen. Our child declared this "the most perfect little house ever."
After he was tucked in, we enjoyed a glass of wine, the moonrise, & the horses from the back deck. In the morning we took our time cooking breakfast, watching the owners care for the horses, & of course, coffee on the deck (the Keurig & variety of coffees, cocoa, & teas were very appreciated.) The house seems remote but it was a very short ride to the interstate, then we took a couple of hours to walk around downtown Greensboro (I'd highly recommend visiting the Greensboro History Museum.) Then it was another easy drive from the house back to the interstate to travel to the wedding near Asheboro. After the wedding, we couldn't resist another night of watching the moonrise from the deck even though we were exhausted.
In the morning, as you can guess by now, we enjoyed coffee on the deck, ate breakfast with the horses, & relaxed before packing up. Some vacations for us are "go go go" but it was so nice to stay in a place that makes you want to relax & take it all in as part of the experience.
Breakfast with horses!
How can you beat eating breakfast 10 feet from a lovely pair of horses! The meet and greet was a wonderful time. I will go back the next time I am in North Carolina.
