My husband and I stayed here with our boy/girl twin 9 year olds, my mother and sister in-law, and 17 year old nephew. We loved every minute here! We walked in and couldn’t believe the amazing view. Everything is in great condition. Kitchen is very large and ample space for all, indoors and out.
Two helpful tips: Be sure to double check the clothes washer 5 mins after starting. We started it twice and found that for whatever reason it didn’t always start as expected. Not a big deal(and could very well have been our error), just something to be mindful of. Second tip, the yellow kayaks are not the 2 kayaks included with rental. There are 2 single person kayaks included with home and these are housed under pool deck.
We snorkeled out to the reef every single day. A little rough getting in, but wearing socks solved for that pretty well(wearing socks with flippers helped prevent blisters too). We did a lot of snorkeling! Variety of marine life is incredible. We did find the current to be exceptionally strong one day, so recommend rum point on those days if snorkeling with kids.
We fished here every morning and evening, as our son is an avid little fisherman. There was one rod/reel available in garage. We didn’t use it though, as we brought everything with us from home. He caught many varieties(all catch & release).
Pool and hot tub were wonderful to relax and play. The lights in pool and hot tub were a fun touch at night. Floats/sand toys are available. No need to pack or buy. There were also several 1 piece all-in-one mask with snorkel, bikes, and other items available for use in garage.
Rum Point is a very short walk or drive. Husband and I ran every morning and enjoyed watching the crabs move off the road as we ran by. There is one small grocery store nearby for last-minute needs, Chisholms. Also, there’s a gift shop at rum point with water proof covers for phone if you happen to forget one. Came in very handy!
Recommend stingray city, bioluminescence tour, early morning trips to star fish point, and having a car to freely drive around the island. We fished all over, including multiple charters, and the kids favorite was from shore at the small fishing market in Georgetown. The men working fish market will provide bait and help to get a tarpon on the line for the kids to reel in. Was incredible to watch them reel in these beautiful monsters! We paid only $20 per child for this.
LOVE this home!
