Four bedrooms, two bathrooms, large kitchen and fabulous outside area

Here you’ll find peace and quiet, an escape from traffic noise and a real sense of privacy. This is an exclusive residential area at the end of the Onsala Peninsula. The peninsula itself shelters the waters of the Kungsbacka fjord with its’ beautiful islands, sandy beaches, picturesque fishing harbours and a landscape (which even by the very high standards of the Swedish West Coast) is said to be one of the loveliest. It’s a very special area….. a real pearl! This stylish Villa has been extensively renovated, decorated, furnished and equipped to a very high standard, with Scandinavian style REAL wood flooring throughout. It is comfortable, light and clean. The location is naturally beautiful, sunny, tranquil, private and rather romantic; with fresh air and amazing views…a really harmonious, healthy and relaxing place to holiday. There are no extra charges for towels, bedlinen, cleaning, electricity, firewood or the unlimited wifi internet connection. Many cooking ingredients and household supplies are provided for your convenience. Bicycles and a boat are also available, fantastic ways to explore the area. Kitchen-Breakfast Room:- This large kitchen is very well equipped with brand new pots and pans and all the utensils needed to prepare wonderful meals. It also serves as a spacious, sunny east-facing breakfast room; the full size refrigerator and freezer are new (2015) The multi-function coffee machine installed in 2016 grinds fresh beans to produce espresso, cappuccino, latte macchiato and café latte; there is also a filter coffee maker.

Bathrooms:- There is a sumptuous bathroom with a Jacuzzi and another equally luxurious shower room and toilet; both are fully tiled and have under-floor heating.

Bedrooms:- There are 4 bedrooms, 2 have large double beds and 2 have full size twin single beds in each. The beds, duvets, pillows and bedlinen are new and all the rooms are fitted with the same style of curtains, blinds, bedside tables and lamps; a uniformity of design and comfort with a really luxurious hotel feeling. Each has plenty of cupboard and hanging space. No arguments over which of the guests gets the best room, they are all lovely! The beds are made up and the towels are ready for you to have a shower and get a wonderful nights' sleep.

Lounge-Dining Room:- A comfortable living area featuring a leather lounge suite and an oak dining table seating 8. The impressive fireplace serves as the focal point of this elegant room. Wood is provided free of charge and the owner is happy to guide you. The evening sun floods in through the large glass windows and door, through which you can admire the view and have easy access to the terrace, conservatory and pool.

Conservatory:- The insulated conservatory, wood-panelled in the traditional Scandinavian style, is a wonderful space in which to relax and enjoy a glass or two of wine. Furnished as a dining room, with seating for eight, it’s so warm and cosy it can be used as early in the year as March and as late as October; great for watching the amazing sunsets….“and just look again at that view”!!

Terrace, Pool and Barbecue Area:- The heart of the house in the summer, with a heated pool inset into 70 sq. meters of sunny wooden terrace; a lovely area in which to BBQ, sunbathe on the sun-loungers, have a drink and slip into the pool. The conservatory and a large sun umbrella are right there if some shade is needed. The sunsets are magnificent.

Utility Room:- This houses a state of the art washing machine and tumble drier, bought in 2015, as well as a new heating and hot water system. There will always be plenty of hot water for all of you. Ironing equipment and cleaning supplies are provided and there is plenty of space for hanging your clothes.

The Local Area.

This pretty area offers you so many things to do, from fishing and cycling to boating activities and all kinds of water sports. With numerous cycle paths it’s bike-friendly and trails lead you through forests and valleys and around a stunning coast line. Bicycles, canoes and paddle boards can be rented nearby; with an instructor if needed. Wind and kite surfers regularly use the beachfront at the end of the road (see Google Earth Street View) and simply the best sandy beach in the area (arguably on the West Coast) is just 900 meters away.

You could of course simply stroll down to the old harbour, have an ice-cream or a beer and buy some fresh fish, crab or langoustines direct from the fishermen.

There are 3 very good restaurants and pubs nearby and the town of Kungsbacka has many, many more.

Pete is an Englishman who has lived in Sweden for 18 years. After a long career in aviation he and his lovely German wife Daphne are now spending more of their time enjoying boat life on the West Coast of Sweden. They love outdoor life, walking, food, travelling......and of course boats.

Sehr schönes Haus

Das Haus und der Pool sind wunderschön und Peter und Daphne sind sehr gastfreundlich und unkompliziert. Die Umgebung lädt zu Tagen am Strand oder Besuchen der umliegenden Sehenswürdigkeiten wie Schloss, Moräne oder Bauerndorf ein. Uns hat vor allem auch die große Dichte an Geocaches begeistert. Das Haus selbst ist sehr sauber und gut ausgestattet. Vermisst haben wir nichts. Auch die zur Verfügung stehenden Fahrräder haben wir gerne genutzt.

Perfekter Urlaub

Das Haus lässt keine Wünsche übrig. Wir verbrachten 2 wundervolle Wochen in diesem gut ausgestattteten Haus. Sogar die Kaffeemaschine war perfekt, was für uns Sehr wichtig war.

Auf der tollen Terrasse mit Blick auf die wundervollsten Sonnenuntergänge mit aufgeheiztem Pool verbrachten wir wunderschöne warme Abende.

Vom Haus machten wir einige Ausflüge nach Göteborg erkundeten die Umgebung mit den Klappvelos und joggten durch die Wälder. Es hat wirklich einiges zu bieten.

Oft wurden wir auch von feinen Süssigkeiten von Peter aus Daphnes Bäckerei beglückt. Vielen Dank.

Wir kommen bestimmt wieder einmal an diesen schönen Ort zurück.

Grandioses Haus

Wir durften im wunderschönen Haus zwei phantastische Wochen verbringen. Es lässt nichts zu wünschen übrig: genial eingerichtet, in der Küche hat es einfach alles, Waschmaschine und Tumbler sind modern, wie auch die Kaffeemaschine (ist doch etwas vom Wichtigsten in den Ferien), Fahrräder im besten Zustand, Grill für die köstlichen Grillabende, geheiztes Pool mit Zugang direkt von der Terrasse...

Wir haben auch die nähere und weitere Umgebung sehr genossen.

Meerzugang in Fussdistanz in fast allen Himmelsrichtungen - Abwechslung vom Feinsten.

Die ruhige Abendstimmung auf der Terrasse ist Ferien pur und durch nichts zu übertreffen.

Also Nearby

To the south lies the seaside town of Varberg, famous for its weekly markets and spa. You’ll understand why Varberg is known as a “summer town” when you see all the restaurants with their street level terraces.

Gothenburg is just a 30 minute drive north but also very easily accessed by public transport; a must for visitors to the region. It’s a beautiful and atmospheric old city with magnificent architecture, museums, sports venues, shops, international restaurants and pubs. Liseberg, the second largest fun and theme park in Europe, lies just to the south of Gothenburg and has its very own train station.

Southern Sweden has a diverse and interesting landscape. There are hundreds of inland lakes within a short drive from the Onsala Peninsula. Many have sandy beaches and there’s plenty of fish to catch. The roads are good and surprisingly uncrowded. With a pretty coastline and so many places to visit you’ll always be fully entertained.
