The apartment was bright, spacious and very clean, with a great sea view from the balcony of the living room. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen well equipped to cook at home if you wish. Parking right outside was no problem.
Marinella has plenty of bars, restaurants, shops, the beach and of course the archaeological park. All are within walking distance. Be sure to try the owner's restaurant Pierrot, which is excellent. We also liked FrescoMare, DAG Pizzeria, Bar Pinguino and Lido Zabbara.
The nearby town of Castelvetrano has larger shops and supermarkets, and the churches of San Domenico and San Giovanni Battista (thanks to Carol at Pierrot for telling us about these!).
We also visited Sciacca, Scala dei Turchi (near Realmonte), the temples at Agrigento and Marsala and the nearby salt flats.
Communication with the owner was friendly and efficient. We had a problem when the gas cylinder for cooking ran out, but after a quick phone call it was all sorted within 10 minutes!
If you're looking to be close to the sea, the temples and the amenities of Marinella, then we'd certainly recommend this apartment.
